Pump Design

 

ZA series chemical feed pump is a single-stage, single-suction, horizontal foot-supported centrifugal pumps. Designed according to process pumps, they meet the requirements of API610 and ISO5199 and are suitable for conveying clean or lightly contaminated media. The impeller is single suction, radial, closed impeller with impeller mouth ring and pump body mouth ring. The impeller mouth ring and pump body mouth ring can be replaced, saving the cost of spare parts during maintenance. To prevent vaporization of the medium in the vicinity of the shaft seal, the pump cover can be equipped with a cooling chamber to cool the shaft seal chamber. The bearings are lubricated with thin oil and the bearing support has a constant oil cup with automatic oil level adjustment.

Because chemical feed pumps handle aggressive media such as acids, alkalis, and solvents, they are built with materials that provide high resistance to corrosion and chemical attack. Common materials include:

Cast iron/cast steel/carbon steel material

Low cost, good casting performance, but poor corrosion resistance and strength, non-corrosive or weakly corrosive media (clear water, low-temperature oil, neutral wastewater)

Stainless steel (304, 316L)

For weakly corrosive media (organic acids, dilute sulfuric acid at room temperature, nitric acid)

Duplex steel (2205/2507)

For highly chlorinated media (seawater, bleach), oil and gas containing hydrogen sulfide, hot concentrated brines.

High chromium alloy (CR26, CR30)

Containing more than 20% chromium, suitable for resistance to sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, mixed acid, and particle-containing wear media.

Titanium

Passivation film gives it excellent resistance to oxidizing acids and chloride ions, suitable for oxidizing media (nitric acid, chromic acid, sodium hypochlorite) and seawater, chlor-alkali industry, etc.
