1. Leaking factor of hot water pump
(1) When the hot water pump is installed, the water seal seat ring assembly is not installed in place, resulting in continuous water leakage from the pump. Because the pump shaft corresponding to the inspection hole has a water blocking (flicking) ring, when the water seal leaks, the cooling water will be thrown out and dripping out of the pump's viewing hole when it meets the water blocking ring along the pump shaft. Cooling water flowing into the bearing is damaged and smooth. In addition, when replacing the water retaining ring, care is not taken to eliminate the poor connection and seal between the pump body and the pump cover, which will also cause water leakage in the pump.
(2) The working environment of construction machinery is harsh, and it is easy to form uneven wear on the bakelite seal and the end face of the bushing; the spring is immersed in water for a long time, it is easy to rust, the elasticity is reduced, and it can cause water leakage.
(3) Forgot to put water in the winter or the water was not clean, and the temperature was too high when the water was discharged, and the water vapor in the cooling system was frozen after freezing, which may cause the pump body to be frozen and cracked, causing water leakage.
(4) The machine is old, and the wear, rust and aging of the parts inside the water seal are also factors that cause water leakage in the pump. When the construction machinery is parked for a long time, the bakelite gasket is deformed due to dryness and contraction because there is no cooling water in the engine; although the bakelite gasket will swell after adding water, but it will not completely recover to its original state, which will cause a small amount of water leakage. In addition, for the pump of the new device, the bakelite seal and the cast iron bush are not completely worn together, which will cause a small amount of water leakage in the pump.

2.Emergency measures
If the pump of the working initiator is found to be leaking, it must not be suspended immediately. It should be kept at the lowest stable speed and water should be added to the inside of the cooling system together. (Note: When the water filler cap is opened, it should be above it. Put a cover to prevent being burned by the water vapor), cool the initiator, travel for a short time and slowly, and drive to a nearby hidden place for cleaning. If the pump housing suddenly breaks and leaks, or the internal parts of the pump are damaged and the pumping effect is lost, the relevant parts can be replaced as appropriate to eliminate the fault.

If the pump is severely damaged and there are no repair conditions on the way, you can directly connect the water inlet and outlet pipes of the pump to make full use of the natural circulation of hot and cold water to temporarily maintain the initiator at normal temperature; perhaps use an inner tube or bucket As a container, fix it firmly, and then pull out two rubber hoses from the container, one connected to the water inlet of the initiator, and the other connected to the water outlet of the initiator, the other of the two tubes Insert one end into the container and secure the hose firmly.

If it is just a crack in the pump casing that leaks water, you can clean the crack and then repair it with an adhesive. For emergencies, you can mix egg white and cement to form a clump and modify it at the cracks. It can be used after a few minutes of setting.

Leakage from the water seal of the pump is also a common occurrence during the construction machinery's travel or work. The emergency treatment can be carried out as long as there are no problems such as damage or swelling of the water ring, lack of tension or breakage of the spring force of the water seal. The specific method of emergency treatment is: if the water seal of the pump has a slight leak due to the tight seal, but the wear is not severe, you can spread an abrasive cloth on the glass plate or flat plate, and smooth the seal surface of the water seal; The bakelite water seal can be turned over before use. However, it should be noted that the contact surface on the water cover and the pump body should be ground to ensure its sealing function.
