Precautions for the use of chemical centrifugal pumps

The following are precautions for the use of chemical centrifugal pumps:

1. Before Starting The Chemical Centrifugal Pump
* Installation inspection: Make sure the pump is firmly installed, the foundation is not loose, the coupling is well connected, and the anchor bolts are tightened. Check whether the connection between the pump and the pipeline is tight and leak-free, and the pipeline support is reasonable to avoid stress transmission to the pump body.

* Lubrication inspection: Check the oil level and oil quality of the lubricating oil in the bearing box. The oil level should be within the specified range, the oil quality should be clear and free of impurities and emulsification, and replace or replenish if necessary.

* Check the seal: The mechanical seal should be installed correctly, the spring compression should meet the requirements, and the sealing surface should be free of damage, scratches and other defects. Check whether the sealing liquid system is normal and whether there is any leakage.

* Pump filling and exhaust: The pump must be filled before starting, so that the pump housing and the suction pipe are filled with liquid, and the air is exhausted to prevent air binding.

2. During The Operation of The Chemical Centrifugal Pump
* Monitoring parameters: Pay close attention to the pump's inlet and outlet pressure, flow, temperature, current and other parameters to ensure that it operates within the rated range.

* Check vibration and noise: During normal operation, the pump should run smoothly, the vibration value should be within the allowable range, and there should be no abnormal noise or impact. If the vibration or noise increases, the cause should be promptly investigated.

* Observe the sealing condition: Check whether there is leakage at the mechanical seal. Slight leakage is normal, but if the leakage increases significantly, the pump should be stopped for inspection in time.

* Prevent cavitation: Ensure that the suction pressure of the pump is sufficient to prevent the liquid from vaporizing in the pump, causing cavitation and damaging the impeller and pump casing.

3. After The Chemical Centrifugal Pump Is Shut Down
* Normal shutdown: First close the outlet valve, then cut off the power supply to prevent the liquid in the pipeline from flowing back and impacting the impeller.

* Cleaning and maintenance: Clean the dirt and oil on the surface of the pump body in time. For pumps that transport media that are easy to crystallize and precipitate, they should be flushed to prevent the medium from crystallizing or precipitating in the pump.

* Regular inspection: During the shutdown period, regularly check the pump parts, such as impellers, shafts, bearings, etc., and replace them in time if wear and corrosion are found.
